Job Title: Product Delivery Manager
Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: Competitive, plus benefits
Reports to: IT Director
The Role
Most technology roles ask you to join something already built and keep it running. This one is different. We're building a platform that will power the next chapter of our growth - we call it OneGC. It's the technology engine behind how our lawyers work, how they collaborate, how clients experience us, and how we scale. We've started, and need the right people to help us build. The Product Delivery Manager sits at the centre of the delivery team.
You're the connective tissue between the platform vision and the team that builds it. You take direction from the firm on what we're building and why - then you help make it happen. Structured, sequenced, honest about risk, and always moving forward.
This isn't pure project management. We're building a product, so you need to think in roadmaps and outcomes, and in terms of continual, incremental delivery rather than the stop-start of project-based working. But you also need to keep delivery honest, calling out drift, managing scope, and creating the conditions for a team to do its best work.
You'll be working within a newly created technology function where you can help shape what that looks like.
We are looking for someone who has done this before in a fast-moving environment. You're comfortable translating a vision into a plan, and a plan into working software. You hold people to account without creating friction.
The ideal candidate will be resilient, commercially driven, and champion our culture and values being Compassionomics, Laser-like Focus, Humour, and being Boundaryless.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of technology products
- Chair and facilitate delivery standups, sprint reviews ensuring they are purposeful and time-efficient
- Develop, maintain, and communicate delivery plans that are realistic, transparent, and understood by all stakeholders
- Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve blockers and risks before they affect delivery
- Produce concise, accurate delivery reports and status updates for the IT Director and senior leadership
- Work with the technology team to translate the OneGC platform vision into a prioritised, sequenced delivery roadmap
- Contribute to the development of technology governance frameworks, starting with OneGC delivery governance
- Ensure delivery practices are consistent, documented, and continuously improved
- Champion and coach Agile ways of working across gunnercooke, helping the firm shift towards Agile, product-centric delivery as the technology function builds out

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
