About the Role

We’re seeking a Product Design Engineer to join our New Product Development (NPD) team in our London Design Office. This creative and technical hub is where the next generation of Shark and Ninja products takes shape. Your work will lie at the intersection of engineering precision and consumer imagination, transforming ideas into real, manufacturable products that millions rely on in their daily lives.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role ideal for someone who loves solving complex challenges, building prototypes, and delivering meaningful results. You’ll collaborate in a global team with access to top-tier tools, talent, and bold ambitions—all united to bring transformationally disruptive products to market.

What You’ll Do

  • Originate innovative concepts and technologies across the Shark and Ninja product portfolio
  • Develop elegant, robust design solutions that align with functional requirements while prioritizing user experience and manufacturability
  • Communicate ideas efficiently through sketches, CAD layouts, 3D modeling, and functional prototypes
  • Take full ownership of designs from conception to CAD execution, prototyping, and verification—rudimentary or final refinement
  • Apply sound engineering principles to ensure feasible, impactful manufacturing solutions
  • Collaborate tightly with Product Development teams based in the US and China to guarantee designs transition seamlessly into production

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Design Engineering
  • 1–3 years of experience in a mechanical or product design setting
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or Creo
  • Hands-on mindset: Comfort making prototypes, conducting lab testing, and analyzing findings
  • Strong problem-solver capable of autonomous execution within a team environment
  • Familiarity with consumer goods or household appliances preferred

Prefereable Experience

  • Experience with plastic manufacturing and its nuances
  • Background in design for manufacturability (DFM)
