At ZAVA, we're on a mission to make healthcare accessible, dependable and affordable for everyone. Now part of Hims & Hers Health, Inc., we've delivered over 14 million consultations across the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Ireland, and we're just getting started.

If you're a designer who wants your work to genuinely improve how people access care, this is your next role!

The role

We're looking for a Product Design Lead who wants to stay close to the work. This is a player-coach role: part of your time will be spent designing, leading discovery, prototyping and pushing craft on our most important product areas - and part of it coaching a small squad of designers. It's a genuine mix of doing and leading.

You'll be a hands-on contributor to the user experience across customer touchpoints and internal tools at ZAVA, spanning multiple countries and partners. With a deep understanding of our doctors' and patients' needs and contexts, you'll get into the detail yourself; designing flows, prototyping and testing, while helping your squad do the same. Your craft and hands-on approach will help promote a user-centric mindset throughout the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design end-to-end on the product areas you own — from discovery and prototyping through to shipped, polished experiences. This is genuine, hands-on craft work, not just direction-setting.
  • Coach a small squad of designers, giving hands-on feedback, unblocking their work and helping them grow — day-to-day support rather than a heavy people-management process.
  • Champion a patient-centred approach, making sure research and user insight inform decision-making and that we're solving the right problems in the right way.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Technology, Clinical, Commercial and Operations teams, building alignment and ensuring design solutions work for both patients and internal teams.
  • Balance craft and team health, keeping both your own work and your squad's output high quality, and speaking up early if the split between designing and coaching needs to shift.
  • Create concepts yourself: prototypes and final designs at the appropriate level of fidelity, setting the quality bar the rest of the squad can follow.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
