Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for?

  • Demonstrable experience designing end-to-end product experiences, from early discovery and problem framing through to detailed interaction design and delivery
  • Strong capability to work within complex domains, translating ambiguity into clear, structured customer journeys, information architectures, and interaction models
  • Strong UX and UI craft – you can move seamlessly from structure and flow into high-quality interface design that feels considered and coherent
  • Experience working across the full design lifecycle, using research, data, and iteration to shape and refine solutions
  • Clear understanding of web standards, accessibility, and inclusive design, and why this matters in products customers rely on daily
  • Proactive in using AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve design quality, speed, and exploration - and actively pushing beyond current ways of working
  • A strong systems-thinking mindset, with the ability to bring clarity to complex problems and communicate them effectively to others
  • Ability to hold a high bar for quality and craft, knowing what good looks like and consistently raising standards across your work
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and research to deliver outcomes

Any experience of these would be great

  • Experience designing within business or commercial banking/financial services/fintech
  • Experience in actively contributing to design systems, particularly where complexity and scalability are key
  • Experience facilitating discovery, alignment, or modelling workshops to bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces
