I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Important notice for candidates
Job scams are on the rise, and fraudsters sometimes impersonate companies like Monq to target applicants. Please keep these guidelines in mind when applying for any of our open roles:
- Apply only through official Monq channels. We post roles solely on our own careers page and verified partner job boards such as LinkedIn. We don't use third-party agents or platforms to manage our recruitment, and we'll never contact you about a role you didn't apply for.
- Verify every email. All genuine communication from our team comes from an official @monq.io address. Check the sender's full address carefully—lookalike domains (extra letters, swapped characters, or free email providers like Gmail or Outlook) are a red flag.
- We will never ask for money or financial details. Monq does not request payment, equipment fees, or personal financial information (bank details, card numbers, deposits) at any stage of the hiring process. Any such request is a scam.
- When in doubt, confirm. If something feels off, pause and verify directly with us before responding or sharing any information.
- If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from Monq, please don't reply or click any links. Report it to us at security@monq.io and, where relevant, to your local authorities.
