We're looking for a Product Designer to join the Greggs Digital Product team and help shape the customer and colleague-facing digital products that bring our brand to life.
If you're passionate about owning design end-to-end, using research to inform your decisions, and exploring how AI can elevate the products you build, this is a brilliant opportunity to have a real impact.

About the role
This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

The base location for this role is Greggs House, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8BU
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end design across assigned customer and colleague-facing journeys, working independently with strategic input from the Design Manager rather than day-to-day oversight
- Lead design for Greggs' AI-powered features, shaping how AI capabilities are introduced into customer experiences such as loyalty, personalisation and growth, and into colleague-facing operations
- Drive adoption of AI tools across the design and research practice, identifying where they improve quality, speed or outcomes
- Produce high-fidelity designs and concepts using the Digital Design System for mobile and web, with consideration for responsive design and native OS capabilities across iOS and Android
- Create UX flows, wireframes and prototypes to explore and communicate design ideas
- Contribute to and evolve our design systems, patterns and accessibility standards
- Conduct user research to inform and validate design decisions, including usability testing, interviews, surveys and observational studies, and synthesise findings into actionable design direction
- Work closely with Product Owners to frame problems, test hypotheses and prioritise during discovery and delivery
- Collaborate day-to-day with Engineering to ensure designs are practical, scalable and delivered to a high standard
- Partner with business subject matter experts to ground design in operational reality, particularly when designing for shop colleagues
- Clearly communicate and defend design decisions with evidence and product thinking
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and accessible way

About you
You will fit right into this role if you:
- Bring solid hands-on experience as a Product Designer (or similar end-to-end design role) working on customer or colleague-facing digital products
- Are comfortable owning design from problem framing through to delivery, working autonomously without needing day-to-day oversight
- Have a strong grounding in UX research and integrate research practice into your design work, conducting research yourself rather than relying on a separate workstream
- Have hands-on experience with AI in your design or research work, even if you are still building your craft in this space
- Are curious about how AI is changing design and instinctively experiment with new tools as they emerge
- Are confident using Figma to a high standard, including Auto Layout, Components and Design Systems
- Communicate and defend design decisions clearly, with evidence and product thinking, to a range of different audiences
- Have a strong understanding of accessibility standards and apply them as a default
- Are familiar with working in an Agile product environment, embedded within a squad
- Care about the craft of design while staying grounded in product outcomes
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment where customer experience and operational realities both matter
- Enjoy being part of a collaborative, supportive squad, celebrating wins and sharing responsibility for outcomes
