About Synthreo

Synthreo is the AI-native platform for Managed Service Providers. We give MSPs everything they need to launch an AI-as-a-Service business without hiring AI experts — from our no-code agent builder (Builder) to a white-label ChatGPT-style portal (Threo) that their clients use.

We’re a small, senior team shipping real products that MSPs deploy to thousands of end users. Our platform handles secure RAG pipelines, multi-tenant isolation, and deep ConnectWise PSA integrations — the kind of infrastructure that lets our partners monetize AI without becoming AI companies themselves.

The Role

You’ll be our first dedicated product design hire, owning the full user experience across Threo (our client-facing AI portal), Builder (our no-code agent platform), and Tenant Management (our admin console for MSP partners). This isn’t a pure design role — you’ll shape product direction, facilitate sprint planning, and coordinate work across the team.

Think of this as a hybrid Product Designer + Product Manager role (~60% design, ~40% product). You’ll translate business goals into user flows, create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups in Figma, write clear specs, and work directly with engineers to ship. You won’t be handing off polished comps to a PM — you’ll own the problem from discovery through delivery.

What You’ll Do

Design (~60%)

  • Own the end-to-end design process — research, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma
  • Design intuitive interfaces for complex workflows: agent builders, conversation UIs, admin dashboards, and multi-tenant settings
  • Build and maintain a design system with reusable components that engineers can implement consistently
  • Create user flows and interaction patterns for AI-native experiences — streaming chat, tool calling, agent configuration
  • Conduct lightweight user research with MSP partners and their end clients to validate designs before development
  • Collaborate directly with engineers during implementation, review PRs, provide assets, and iterate based on technical constraints

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Product (~40%)

  • Partner with founders to define product vision, roadmap priorities, and feature scope
  • Write clear product specs with acceptance criteria that engineers can build from
  • Facilitate sprint planning in Linear — break down features into actionable issues, estimate effort, and sequence work
  • Run standups and coordinate across the development team to unblock progress and maintain momentum
  • Synthesize feedback from MSP partners, support tickets, and usage data into actionable improvements
  • Make scope trade-offs and ship iteratively — you understand that done is better than perfect

What We’re Looking For

We hire based on skills, curiosity, and growth potential — not years of experience. If you’re excited about shaping products and can ship designs that engineers love to build, we want to talk.

You Have

  • Strong Figma proficiency — you can rapidly produce wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready designs
  • Experience designing SaaS products — admin consoles, dashboards, data-heavy interfaces, or workflow tools
  • Product thinking — you understand why you’re designing something, not just what it should look like
  • Ability to write clear specs and acceptance criteria that developers can execute against
  • Experience working directly with engineers — you understand technical constraints and can negotiate scope
  • Comfort with ambiguity — you can make decisions with incomplete information and iterate based on feedback
  • Strong async communication skills — you document decisions, write clear briefs, and keep stakeholders informed
  • Portfolio demonstrating both visual design skills and product thinking
  • Enthusiasm for AI products and desire to shape user experiences for emerging technology

Bonus Points

  • Experience at early-stage startups (<30 people) where you wore multiple hats
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM products — chat interfaces, prompt design, agent workflows
  • Experience with Linear, Notion, or similar modern product tools
  • Basic understanding of React component architecture — you can have informed conversations about implementation
  • Experience with design systems at scale (tokens, component libraries, documentation)
  • B2B or MSP/channel experience — you understand selling through partners
  • User research experience — interviews, usability testing, survey design
  • Motion design or prototyping skills (Principle, Framer, After Effects)
  • Experience designing real-time or streaming interfaces
  • Accessibility (WCAG) knowledge and inclusive design practices
  • Previous experience as a solo designer or first design hire

Why Synthreo

  • Work on AI that ships. Our platform is live, MSPs are paying, and your designs will reach real users within weeks.
  • High ownership, low bureaucracy. Small team. Direct founder access. Your decisions matter.
  • Fully remote, async-first. We document everything so you can do deep work on your schedule.
  • Competitive compensation. Salary tailored to your experience and location, plus equity options.
  • Growth trajectory. We’re early. There’s room to build a design and product function from scratch.
  • Shape real AI products. Design experiences for LLM-powered agents, RAG pipelines, and multi-tenant SaaS — not toy projects.

How We Work

  • Lean process: useful docs, clear specs, production pragmatism over ceremony
  • Async by default with synchronous overlaps for collaboration when needed
  • We ship incrementally — small iterations, fast feedback, continuous deployment
  • Open to talent from anywhere with reasonable timezone overlap

Our Commitment

Synthreo is committed to building a diverse team. We evaluate candidates based on skills and potential, not pedigree. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, including those who don’t check every box on this list.

How to Apply

Send your portfolio and a brief note about a product you’ve shaped — a feature you owned end-to-end, a design system you built, or a product decision you drove. We read every application and respond within one week.
