Product Designer Opportunity
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Designer based in United Kingdom.
This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career Product Designer to contribute to a mature technical product while developing their craft alongside experienced design professionals. In this role, you will create intuitive, high-quality experiences for complex developer-focused workflows, balancing user needs with business and technical requirements. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and senior designers to deliver meaningful product improvements and refine existing experiences. This position offers the opportunity to strengthen your design skills, gain deeper technical knowledge, and contribute to products used by modern software teams worldwide. It is ideal for a detail-oriented designer who enjoys iterative work, collaboration, and solving challenging UX problems in a remote-first environment.
Accountabilities
- Own well-defined product design initiatives within a mature product area, including improvements, iterations, edge cases, usability enhancements, and interface consistency.
- Translate product requirements and user needs into clear, production-ready designs with strong interaction design, information architecture, and visual design principles.
- Collaborate with senior designers through design reviews, feedback sessions, and mentorship opportunities to continuously improve design quality and craft.
- Support user research activities by contributing to interviews, usability testing, and the synthesis of user insights into actionable design improvements.
- Apply and extend existing design system patterns to create consistent, scalable, and efficient user experiences.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers throughout implementation, communicating design decisions clearly and helping resolve product edge cases.
- Create design assets supporting product launches, onboarding experiences, release communications, and feature announcements.
- Develop technical understanding of developer workflows, infrastructure concepts, and user challenges to design more effective solutions.
- Incorporate AI-powered tools into daily design workflows for ideation, exploration, automation, and productivity improvements.

Requirements
- 2-5 years of professional Product Design experience, ideally working on B2B, technical, SaaS, or developer-focused products.
- Strong foundations in interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and user-centered design principles.
- Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with modern design systems and component-based design practices.
- Portfolio or concrete work samples demonstrating shipped product experiences, design processes, interaction decisions, and visual craftsmanship.
- Ability to manage iterative design work reliably, maintain attention to detail, and deliver consistent quality across multiple product areas.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions clearly and effectively.
- Openness to feedback, collaboration, and guidance from senior design professionals.
- Curiosity about technical users, developer workflows, and complex software products.
- Comfortable using AI tools within the design process and interested in exploring their potential.
- Fluent English communication skills (B2+ level) and based in Europe.
- Experience with DevOps tools, infrastructure products, observability, CI/CD workflows, design tokens, HTML/CSS, code-based prototyping, or artifact-driven product practices would be considered an advantage.
