About the role

We are on the lookout for a Product Developer to join our Product Quality team here at Tesco. You will define and deliver great quality, value and innovative products for customers, from concept through to launch.

You will be responsible for:

  • Following the product development process to ensure our new products have a clear customer & business rationale and land with maximum impact.
  • Working with my NWT & suppliers, ensuring quality for customers & innovation are at the heart of what we do.
  • Ensuring all our products are formulated in line with our product rules, corporate initiatives & brand guidelines.
  • Following the critical path and artwork process using our product development systems, effective stakeholder management and communication to ensure all products are launched on time.
  • Developing products and concepts that feed into and compliment the product & category plan.
  • Working collaboratively with product direction to ensure cross category projects and seasonal events are delivered.
  • Ensuring our products are always great quality by regularly reviewing and reformulating them where needed.
  • Visiting our supplier partners to understand their production capabilities for future opportunities.
  • Keeping updated with trends in product & packaging, competitor activity & market dynamics & sharing with my team
  • Advocate for Tesco, sharing my expertise and passion for product, actively participating in events & social media.
  • Considering commercial implications throughout development in order to maximise quality.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

  • Annual bonus scheme of up to 10% of base salary
