Product Developer - Institutional Banking - VP

Credit Risk / Market Risk / Liquidity Data Analytics Role – Product Development (Enterprise Data Office)

Based in London | Full-Time

A perfect opportunity to shape the future of data-driven financial solutions at Citi, one of the world’s leading financial institutions.

About the Role

This dynamic Product Development role within Citi’s Enterprise Data Office (EDO) focuses on solution design and execution, operating as a bridge between first-line risk teams (Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity, Capital) and technology. You’ll help develop and implement analytical platforms to satisfy evolving business needs while ensuring scalability, innovation, and alignment with industry best practices.

Based in London, this position offers significant growth potential in Data Analytics, AI-driven decision-making, and enterprise transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners to define requirements, map data availability, and co-create a unified analytics vision for Citi’s risk-focused functions.
  • Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end scalable analytical products on both structured and unstructured data, leveraging:
    • Distributed ecosystems: Python, Spark, Hive, Linux
    • Modern platforms: Databricks, NoSQL databases
    • AI/ML systems: NLP frameworks, RAG pipelines, agentic architectures, Microservice Connectivity Platform (MCP server)
  • Build and optimise data pipelines, ensuring efficient ingestion, processing, and transformation.
  • Act as a product owner by defining roadmaps, prioritising features, and enabling .data-led decision-making across business units.
  • Proactively advocate for analytic excellence, guiding teams to embed data governance, ethical considerations, and industry best practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
