ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and looking to build your career in product development within a fast-paced consumer products business?
We're recruiting on behalf of a successful importer and distributor of consumer products, supplying major retailers across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Buying team, supporting the development of new products from initial concept through to launch.
You'll play a key role in ensuring product information is accurate, projects stay on track and suppliers are supported throughout the product development process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Product Developer with product administration and range planning.
- Maintaining pricing information and supplier quotations to ensure commercial accuracy.
- Coordinating product samples throughout the development process and maintaining accurate sample records.
- Uploading and maintaining product information within the company's ERP system.
- Liaising with overseas factories and sourcing partners to ensure projects progress to agreed timescales.
- Supporting the critical path to help deliver successful product launches.
- Reviewing supplier documentation and ensuring product information is complete and accurate.
- Assisting with trade show preparation, including product samples, administration and event support.
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the wider Buying and Product Development team.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
This opportunity would suit someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a fast-moving commercial environment. Previous experience within buying, product development, merchandising or consumer products would be advantageous, although we're equally interested in candidates with excellent organisational skills and a willingness to learn.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Excel and general IT skills.
- Confidence working with data and maintaining accurate product information.
- A proactive approach with the ability to use their own initiative.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
- A positive, flexible attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a successful team.

The business is based near Trafford Park and is office-based x4 days a week with x1 from home.
SALARY
Circa £28,000 - depending on experience
