A leading manufacturing company is hiring for a remote Product Development Engineer - UK / AI.
Product Development Engineer - UK / AI
Location: UK (remote-based) Type: Permanent
About the Role
This role focuses on hands-on product creation and improvement, aligning with a team supporting operations across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Prototype Development:
- Conceptualise, design, and create prototypes using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks), ensuring alignment with functional and manufacturing specifications.
- Testing & Evaluation:
- Assemble and test prototypes in practical environments, including site testing and customer installations.
- Technical Operations:
- Operate equipment (e.g., drilling, fabrication tools) for product testing and installation procedures.
- Cross-Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with suppliers, production, quality, and design teams to prepare products for manufacturing.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Assist with product testing, debug issues, and support customer site activities across domestic and international locations.

Requirements
- Education:
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in hands-on product development within engineering or manufacturing.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with prototyping and testing methods.
- Travel Readiness:
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for project support.
