Product Development Manager
Product Development Manager Location: West Midlands / Hybrid
We are partnering with a well-established, international manufacturer and supplier operating within the agricultural, professional and consumer markets. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality and technical expertise, the business develops and distributes market-leading products across the UK and Europe.
As part of continued growth and investment in new product development, we are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to lead the development and launch of innovative products, manage existing product portfolios, and drive commercial success through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
The Role Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the full product lifecycle, from concept through to launch and ongoing portfolio optimisation. Key responsibilities include: Identifying new product opportunities through market research, customer feedback and industry trends. Managing the development and launch of new products across multiple market sectors. Working closely with manufacturing partners, suppliers and regulatory teams to ensure successful product delivery. Developing and executing product roadmaps aligned to business objectives. Monitoring product performance, profitability and market positioning. Supporting commercial teams with product training, technical information and launch materials. Collaborating with marketing, sales and technical departments to maximise product success. Managing product specifications, compliance requirements and documentation. Conducting competitor analysis and recommending strategic improvements to the portfolio.

About You We are looking for a commercially minded product professional who combines technical understanding with strong project management skills. You will ideally have: Proven experience in Product Development, Product Management or Category Management. Experience managing products within manufacturing, agriculture, chemicals, horticulture, pest control, FMCG or a related technical sector. Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities. Excellent analytical and commercial decision-making skills. Experience bringing new products to market. Ability to interpret market data and customer insights to drive innovation. Strong communication and presentation skills. Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
