Overview
The Worldwide Grocery Stores Private Brands International team manages and develops the by Amazon grocery consumables brand across the UK and pan-EU, offering a curated selection of everyday essentials, local favourites, and seasonal items—all delivered at exceptional value. Our mission is to build Earth’s most customer-centric grocery brand, and we’re actively seeking exceptionangular talent that shares our passion for ambition, innovation, and customer obsession.
We’re looking for a motivated Product Development Manager with a customer-focused mindset, deep food expertise, and a commitment to driving high-quality, commercially successful products for our rapidly growing grocery business.
The Role
As a Product Development Manager, you will lead the full product lifecycle—from concept and insight generation to planning, development, specification, branding, and launch. Your role will focus on using customer data and trends to shape our range, ensuring consistent brand alignment while maintaining the highest quality and commercial viability. This requires a mix of strategic vision, operational rigor, and relationships management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee end-to-end product development, including:
- Developing range architectures that align with market trends and customer needs
- Ensuring adherence to brand values and high-quality standards
- Managing critical product timelines (critical path management)
- Simplifying processes while delivering frugality-backed results
- Drive customer-centric insights, using data and research to inform decision-making on product formulation and retail positioning.
- Develop seamless specifications, artwork, and product storytelling for commercial launch.
- Work cross-functionally with suppliers, marketing, and operations to execute high-impact projects with strict deadlines.
- Serve as the commercial champion for new product launches, embedding frugality, quality, and speed in everything you do.
- Foster vendor communications, nurturing partnerships for high-quality, cost-effective sourcing.

Your Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated 3+ years of experience in product development or product management, including:
- Leading insight-driven product launches and optimisation
- Managing vendor and stakeholder relationships
- Experience coordinating product-to-market transitions, including critical path management
- Direct customer engagement or client-facing roles where product decisions were data-informed
- A track record of working under pressure, balancing simplicity with excellence

Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of food trends, retail grocery dynamics, and culinary product development.
- Proficiency in leveraging customer insights for decision-making.
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM**) or similar software tools.
- Background preferably within CPG (consumer packaged goods) or retail grocery.
