About the Role
Citi is seeking a seasoned Counterparty Credit Risk / Capital Product Development Manager to:
- Manage the firm’s Credit Limits Product strategy and execution
- Collaborate at a senior level with Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk & 1st Line of Defense Credit Portfolio Managers/Underwriters, Enterprise Data, and Technology development teams
This leadership position will shape the future of Credit Risk technology architecture and drive business adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution
- Define business cases, BRDs, and product-focused enhancements based on market, industry trend, and client needs
- Lead innovation strategy, including regulatory/compliance integration and investment tracking
- Develop a 3-5-year product strategy and execution roadmap, alongside a transformational change plan
- Scope product releases and foster strategic thinking with partners to maintain competitive positioning in service, functionality, and price
Leadership & Governance
- Manage a global team, budget, and performance (including hiring, compensation, disciplinary decisions, and budget approval)
- Foster diverse perspectives and maintain team/client momentum
- Serve as a change agent, encouraging innovative ideas and solutions

- Leverage contemporary AI tools to drive product innovation
- Define an AI strategy for the product’s evolution
Operational Excellence
- Work with precision on large datasets and detailed processes
- Proactively identify cross-functional opportunities to enhance business outcomes
Key Requirements
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Deep Credit Risk knowledge (capital experience preferred)
- Comprehensive understanding of market technology, products, and competitive landscape
- Proven track record in tactical and multi-year project delivery across the product lifecycle
Soft Skills & Leadership
- Strategic intellectual curiosity with outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated skills in Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), crisis management at technical levels, and lean with an innovative mindset
- Biligualism (Spanish) considered a distinct advantage
Leadership & Management
- Substantial managerial experience in scaling teams and complex initiatives
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder influence skills

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (University degree) mandatory; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience in tech and 7 years in a managerial role (preferably in Product Development)
