Role: Product Engineer
Location: Leeds (hybrid working)
Salary: Up to 35,000 Depending on Experience
This is an opportunity to join a large, complex engineering environment delivering secure, high-availability platforms at scale. The role sits within a central engineering capability responsible for tooling, automation, and platform reliability across multiple programmes.
You will operate at the intersection of development and operations, improving how software is built, deployed, and managed across environments. The focus is on reliability, repeatability, and engineering efficiency within regulated and security-conscious delivery contexts.
The organisation is a major UK-based technology and engineering employer supporting critical national infrastructure and defence programmes. Teams operate within structured, compliance-driven environments while adopting modern DevOps and platform engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support and improve build, deployment, and configuration management processes
- Interface with development and operations teams to ensure delivery outcomes
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application deployment issues
- Provide guidance on best practice across CI/CD and environment management
- Maintain and upgrade core engineering tooling and platform components
- Contribute to platform stability, scalability, and service reliability
Candidate Profile:

- Experience working in Linux-based environments
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and PKI concepts
- Exposure to Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
- Familiarity with open-source tooling across build and deployment ecosystems
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines or platform tooling
- Comfortable working across DevOps or platform engineering environments
