Semiconductor Product or Product Development Engineer

Location This role can be based at our Milton Park (Abingdon), Bristol, or Cambridge office. The expectation is at least 3 days per week in the office.

Eligibility Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.

About the Role

We are looking for a semiconductor product or product development engineer to join an exciting fabless semiconductor company developing a range of mixed-signal ASICs.

Responsibilities

You will have full ownership for the production cost and production quality of a range of full-custom ASIC products, covering market segments including Wireless and Automotive, from sampling to volume production.

Education and Key Skills

Essential

  • Qualified to Degree level or equivalent in Electronics or a similar discipline.
  • Understanding of the principles behind Analogue and Digital Testing.
  • Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) & other semiconductor Yield Enhancement and analytical methods.
  • Understanding of IC manufacturing methods relating to Foundry and OSAT.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work unsupervised.
  • 3 years+ relevant experience.

Desirable

  • Experienced in testing semiconductor devices using ATE (Automated Test Equipment) or bench test equipment.
  • Understanding of package assembly technology.
  • Understanding of common semiconductor qualification test methodologies.
  • Understanding of semiconductor reliability and quality standards such as AEC-Q100.
  • Understanding of the fabless business model.
  • Understanding of ISO 9000 or similar management systems.
