Product Engineer | AI-Native Recruitment | London | £65,000 - £85,000

My client is turning recruitment into something genuinely AI-native. Rather than bolting AI onto an existing process, they're building the technology from first principles: real relationships and deal flow on one side, genuinely powerful AI product on the other, built to work together rather than replace each other.

They're a small, high-leverage team with real commercial traction behind them already, live products, paying customers, and real users generating feedback every day, not a team guessing at a market from the outside. They're now hiring a Product Engineer to help build both the customer-facing product and the internal tooling that makes the team faster.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Quick overview

  • Full-stack build: TypeScript, Python or Node, PostgreSQL (stack-agnostic in practice, they rate the engineer over the tooling)
  • End-to-end ownership: UI, APIs, integrations, deployment, no ticket queue and no waiting for permission
  • Heavily AI-assisted development day to day, using AI coding tools as a genuine multiplier
  • Small, senior team, high-agency role: you'll be handed ambiguous, hard problems and trusted to take them to done
  • Location: London, hybrid

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years building scalable web products, ideally B2B SaaS, marketplaces, workflow tools, or talent tech
  • Genuinely AI-native, not just AI-aware, you know when to let it run and when to slow down and think it through yourself
  • High-agency and product-minded: you think about the customer, the product and the technology at once, not just the ticket in front of you
  • Strong engineer first: real craft, good fundamentals, opinions you're willing to bend when the situation calls for it
