Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Do

  • Design, build, and iterate on production-ready software using Python and TypeScript to automate manual reviews and improve alert quality.
  • Shape the overall product roadmap alongside the CEO and CTO, translating real-world industry pain points into technical features that provide a competitive advantage.

The ideal candidate

  • Possesses 5-8 years of combined experience across financial crime compliance and software engineering, with proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or equivalent languages.
  • Has deep domain expertise in AML, KYB, or fraud operations, including familiarity with industry tools like WorldCheck, ComplyAdvantage, or LexisNexis.

Sometimes Jill's clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can't share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn't much we can do about it.
