# Product Engineer (Full-Stack) – Shaping Our Platform & Impact London or Paris – Early-Stage, High-GrowthVC-Backed Team
⚡ About the Role
You’ll join a tight-knit team of engineers and product leaders, architecting the future of our scalable platform and directly influencing how we serve customers across emerging markets.
From day one, you’ll collaborate with the founding team (based in London & Paris) to shape:
- Product vision and technical architecture
- Customer-focused solutions that balance impact, effort, and delight
- Full-stack tech.
The role demands empathy to diagnose problems critically, curliosity to explore root causes, and creativity to design balanced solutions.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
🚀 Delivery
- Own the complete product lifecycle: from ideation → UI/UX → backend → deployment → feedback → performance metrics.
- Communicate widely:
- Gather pre-launch feedback (internal & customer).
- Explain features post-launch (dev teams, business stakeholders, end-users).
- Manage timelines: Align engineering + product roadmaps; define milestones for smooth delivery.
🛠️ Technical
- Build highly performant web apps (priority: business use-cases in Africa).
- Enforce FCA-compliant security & data protection in regulated environments (scalable encryption, access controls, auditable logging, etc.).
- Drive architectural improvements:
- Boost scalability (handling transaction volumes, async workflows).
- Enhance observability (tracing, monitoring).
- Modularise the codebase for long-term maintainability.
- Champion code quality:
- Robust testing strategies.
- Thorough documentation.
- Rigorous code reviews.

- Translate business goals into technical roadmap → spec → plan.
- Set team standards: communication clarity, remote collaboration, technical excellence.
🔍 Requirements
Essential
- Tech Stack: Typescript ✓, React ✓, NextJS ✓, NodeJS ✓, Express ✓, PostgreSQL ✓
- Full-Stack aptitude: Solid grasp of frontend best practices (e.g., state management, architecture). Understanding of backend challenges (API design, concurrency).
- Product mindset: Everyone cares about AMoZ (“Africa Marketplace O császion Zero”)—think customer first, long-term impact.
- Early-stage startup experience: VC-backed / high-growth environment? ✓ Multiple pipelines and ambiguous priorities? ✓ Full dev cycle from scratch? ✓
- Effective communication: Clearly explain designs/technical dependencies to devs, PMs, and Execs. English fluency (written/verbal): ✓
- Priority market knowledge: Solutions for African (B2B) businesses: finance, payments, supply chain, etc.?
