Product Engineering Lead
London, UK: Travel May be required
We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Product Engineering Lead in our Global Technology Practice to spearhead our technical development efforts within a fast-paced, agile environment. This is a critical leadership role for an individual who deeply understands both the technical intricacies of product development and the strategic imperative of bringing high-quality products to market quickly and effectively. You will be instrumental in guiding our engineering team, driving technical excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful launch and iteration of our products.
Your role will involve • Technical Vision & Strategy: Partner closely with Product Management, Design, and other stakeholders to define and translate product strategy into a clear, actionable technical roadmap. Architect scalable, robust, and performant solutions. • Launch & Delivery Ownership: Lead and manage the end-to-end technical execution of product features and new products, from conception through design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support. Ensure successful and timely product launches in a highly dynamic environment. • Engineering Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of talented engineers. Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support individual growth. • Technical Excellence & Best Practices: Champion best practices in software development, including design patterns, coding standards, testing methodologies, build processes, and deployment automation. Drive architectural decisions and ensure the overall health and scalability of our systems. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key technical liaison for Product Managers, Designers, QA, and other departments. Effectively communicate technical constraints, opportunities, and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Problem Solving & Innovation: Tackle complex technical challenges with innovative and pragmatic solutions. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for their adoption when beneficial.

Your transferable skills and experience: • 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a lead or management role overseeing product development teams. • A strong track record of successfully launching multiple complex products or features in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, from ideation to post-launch optimization. • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate engineering teams, fostering a high-performance culture. • Exceptional understanding of the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. • Strong architectural design skills and experience building scalable (vertical and horizontal), fault tolerant, and secure applications. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure and effectively manage technical debt. • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
