You'll be joining one of the UK's largest and most established financial services groups, renowned for their diverse product portfolio of services. Due to another year of growth, the organisation is investing heavily in digital transformation, modernising its finance and product capabilities, and re‑shaping how it serves its customer base.
Your new role
As Product Financial Controller, you will be a key finance leader within the organisation, combining robust financial control with strategic business partnering to drive commercial performance, business transformation and informed decision-making. Working closely with senior directors and stakeholders across the business, you will provide insightful analysis, identify risks and opportunities, challenge decision-making where appropriate, and influence strategic outcomes. A significant part of the role will involve leading finance transformation initiatives, driving the modernisation of processes, systems, controls and reporting capabilities to improve efficiency, scalability and the quality of business insight. In addition to leading a sizeable finance team, you will champion automation, continuous improvement and data quality initiatives that support operational excellence and business growth. With full ownership of the balance sheet and P&L across key product areas, you will ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance and accurate reporting, while acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and playing a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the finance function and wider business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience gained within Financial Services or Banking, ideally in large, complex and highly regulated organisations. Combining strong technical accounting expertise with a commercial and strategic mindset, you will have a proven ability to partner with senior leaders, influence decision-making and drive business performance. You will bring experience leading and developing sizeable finance teams, whilst acting as a catalyst for change across the finance function. A demonstrable track record of leading transformation programmes is essential, including finance modernisation, automation, process redesign, systems enhancement, controls improvement and data quality initiatives. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, delivering both strong financial governance and meaningful business change that improves efficiency, scalability and the quality of management information used to support strategic decision-making.
