About the role:
Supporting the Head of Product Innovation, the Product Innovation Manager will play a vital role in the hands-on development, delivery, and continuous evolution of our portfolio of management and leadership products, pathways, and our Chartered brand.
Working at the intersection of learner needs, market demands, and product innovation, this role is highly delivery-focused and requires moving at pace from concept to prototype. You will champion User Experience (UX)/Learning Experience (LX) and rigorous market testing to ensure we build high-impact, outcome-driven educational pathways that embed our Chartered USP.
Responsibilities:
- Market Testing & Validation: Conduct rapid experimentation and early validation by taking new products, modern frameworks, and chartered pathways to market for testing. You will actively engage with employers, universities, training providers, and learners to bring the "voice of the customer" into the testing phase, validating needs and refining propositions.
- UX/LX & Product Requirements: Translate high-level strategic opportunities into clear, highly relevant, and customer-centric product requirements, learner journeys, curriculum frameworks, and product specifications. You will apply strong UX/LX principles to ensure pathways and qualifications are engaging, impactful, and practical for all users.
- Rapid Prototyping & Iteration: Lead the operational aspects of a fast-paced product development process, utilising rapid prototyping of products and learning programmes to test ideas. Embed a culture of continuous improvement and iteration based on user feedback and pilot outcomes.
- Data Analysis & AI Utilisation: Use data and AI tools to analyse learner engagement, product utilisation, and impact evaluate pilot outcomes, design experiments, and demonstrate product impact and value to our partners and learners.
- Cross-Functional Delivery: Partner closely with sales, marketing, membership, and compliance teams to ensure that new educational products are robust, scalable, future-proof, and ready for launch.

Skills and Experience:
- UX/LX & User-Centric Design: Strong capability in User Experience (UX) and Learning Experience (LX), with a proven ability to translate customer needs, market insights, and feedback into actionable, engaging products and propositions.
- Market Testing & Prototyping: Extensive experience in rapid prototyping and market testing, with a track record of getting products to market quickly and evaluating pilot outcomes to ensure proven impact.
- Product Management: Proven experience in fast-paced, end-to-end product development - from discovery through to launch and iteration with exceptional agility. Background in learning design, education, EdTech, or skills development is highly beneficial.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience working with data to create actionable insights, set success metrics, and design robust product experiments.
- Innovative Use of Technology: Experience using AI smartly and judiciously to expedite proposition development and enhance user and learning experience, alongside a general curiosity and passion for emerging technologies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to tailor language and design to multiple target audiences and collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external educational stakeholders.
