Role - Product Lead
Type - Contract (Inside IR35)
Location - Newbury, UK (Hybrid)
Rate - 250 GBP/Day
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Lead to drive the roadmap, prioritisation, and delivery of data and analytics products within a leading UK telecommunications organisation. This role sits within a Consumer Business Intelligence & Visualisation function and is responsible for translating business objectives into scalable data products, actionable insights, and reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, BI developers, and offshore delivery partners to ensure successful product delivery using Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned data and analytics products.
- Define and maintain product roadmaps aligned to business priorities and strategic objectives.
- Drive product vision, prioritisation, and value delivery across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics capability, and business insight generation.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Build strong relationships across Commercial, Consumer, Finance, Technology, Marketing, and Analytics functions.
- Facilitate workshops to gather, challenge, and refine business requirements.
- Provide clear communication on delivery progress, risks, roadmap changes, and dependencies.

Agile Product Delivery
- Manage product backlogs and prioritise requirements based on business value.
- Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed product requirements.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and delivery governance activities.
- Ensure Agile best practices are followed throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Data & Analytics Leadership
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Analysts, and Architects to deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
- Ensure delivered products meet business, technical, and data governance standards.
- Support data validation, testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance processes.
- Promote adoption of reusable, governed, and scalable data solutions.
Required Experience Essential
- 5+ years' experience in Product Owner, Product Manager, Product Lead, Analytics Lead, or Data Product Management roles.
- Proven experience delivering data, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence products.
- Strong background working within Agile environments.
- Experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, and delivery priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Relevant Data & Analytics or Product Management certifications are advantageous.
