The Role
Product Liability Solicitor - London - Hybrid - Up to £95,000
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Solicitor to join a well-established law firm, working within a highly regarded team specialising in complex product liability and insurance coverage disputes. This role offers exposure to high-value, technically challenging work, often involving multi-party litigation and claims exceeding £1m.
You’ll manage your own caseload of defendant product liability matters, while also supporting Partners on larger, strategic cases. The work is varied and intellectually engaging, covering issues of coverage, liability and quantum across a range of sectors, and playing a key role in shaping litigation strategy from the outset.
Working closely with insurer clients and claims handlers, you’ll be involved throughout the lifecycle of a claim, from initial investigation through to resolution. This will include drafting tailored coverage advice, preparing court proceedings, managing disclosure, engaging in ADR and settlement discussions, and coordinating with Counsel and expert witnesses. You’ll also attend client meetings and conferences, ensuring a high standard of service and regulatory compliance throughout.

The Candidate
- Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in defendant product liability litigation
- Strong understanding of coverage issues, negligence, breach of contract and Consumer Protection Act claims
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and work to chargeable time targets
- Strong litigation and drafting skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Confident and professional communicator, particularly when working with insurer clients and senior claims handlers
