Product Line Director / Commercial Director

Engineering | Full P&L Ownership | High-Profit Business Unit

Location: South East England

Excellent Executive Package + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive

Engineering Background Essential

We're seeking an experienced Product Line, Engineering or Technical Commercial Leader to take ownership of a highly profitable engineering business unit with annual revenues of approximately £10 million.

This is an opportunity for someone who has built their career within an engineering or technology-led environment and progressed into commercial and business leadership. You may currently be a Product Line Director, Commercial Director, Business Unit Director or General Manager looking for the next step, or already leading a similar-sized business.

This is not an operations-led role. We're looking for someone who understands engineering products, customers and markets, and can combine technical credibility with commercial leadership.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group leadership team, you will have full responsibility for the performance and strategic direction of a well-established, highly profitable business unit.

You'll lead a multidisciplinary team spanning engineering, product management, sales, supply chain, customer support and international distribution partners, with responsibility for protecting a strong profit position while delivering sustainable long-term growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
