Company Description

We’re looking for a Product Management Apprentice to join our Engineered Refurbishment Team.

Hybrid working, based at Welwyn Garden City.

Job Description

About

Sika is divided into Business Units and Target Markets, with this particular Business Unit incorporating Engineered Refurbishment and Flooring, consisting of 30 staff.

Target Market Engineered Refurbishment is a leading supplier in the markets it supplies, including concrete repair and protection, chemical anchoring, engineering grouts, rigid bonding, structural strengthening and mortar admixtures. There are key initiatives to further expand our market share, which includes exciting product initiatives.

Purpose of the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an award-winning team and support the Product and Technical Teams across product and technical related activities, with a particular focus on ensuring customers, clients and colleagues are fully supported. Assisted by our EMEA colleagues, you will have the chance to develop your skills across a range of platforms and technologies. You will have ownership of some key projects to support the business strategy.

The Opportunity:

There are several key areas this role will be instrumental in delivering in, including:

  • Product Launches – identifying niches or requirements in the market, working with colleagues to implement or develop products to fulfil the gaps in market.
  • Product Management – liaising with other internal departments to ensure stock requirements are met, documentation is kept up-to-date and resolving any product issues.
  • Product Training – support Product Manager and Technical Department with training colleagues, customers and prospective clients.

Qualifications

What we need from you?

  • A ‘can do’ attitude.
  • An understanding of construction products (desirable, not essential).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • I.T. literate (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, confident, and dynamic personality with the ability to work autonomously and as a team player.
