Product Management Consultant (outside IR35)
Experience-level: Senior Consultant (Fixed-time project role)
This is a great chance to join a private equity-backed financial services organisation undertaking one of the most significant technology transformations in its history.
Having recently been acquired, the business is investing heavily in the re-platforming of its core operating platform and is moving to a modern, product-led delivery model. They are looking for an experienced Product Management Consultant to:
- Establish the product operating model
- Coach business stakeholders
- Embed product ownership across the organisation
This is a business transformation role as much as a technology one.
The Opportunity
You'll work directly with the CTO and COO, along with senior business leaders, to transform how technology decisions are made.
Rather than managing a feature backlog, you’ll instead build the capability that enables the business to:
- Own its products
- Prioritise delivery based on business value
- Work effectively with Agile engineering teams
You will be responsible for creating a sustainable product management function that will remain in place even after your engagement has concluded.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
