Product Manager - Legal Case Management Software
6 Month Contract
Rate: £600 - £650 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: UK - Remote (Occasional travel to customer sites may be required)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the development of a case management software product used by legal and regulated customers.
This is a highly customer-focused role with a strong discovery and business analysis element. You will work directly with customers to understand their day-to-day processes, challenges and priorities, translating these insights into clear product requirements and a commercially focused roadmap.
You will own the product roadmap and work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales and customer success teams to ensure the product continues to meet customer needs and delivers measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed understanding of legal case management processes and customer requirements.
- Build trusted, ongoing relationships with customers and act as their voice throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct customer interviews, user journey mapping and jobs-to-be-done research.
- Translate customer insight, market trends and business objectives into clear product requirements.
- Build, maintain and prioritise the product roadmap.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define features and guide product delivery.
- Oversee the product lifecycle from initial concept through to launch and continuous improvement.
- Support product launches, including positioning, messaging and launch planning.
- Analyse product data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain clear product documentation and promote effective knowledge sharing across teams.

Essential Experience
- Strong Product Management experience within a modern software or product-led organisation.
- Experience owning and delivering a software product roadmap.
- Excellent customer engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong discovery, requirements gathering and business analysis capabilities.
- Experience conducting customer interviews and translating feedback into product direction.
- Knowledge of user journey mapping and jobs-to-be-done frameworks.
- Experience working with Agile software development teams.
- Strong prioritisation skills, balancing customer needs, business goals and technical feasibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High levels of empathy, curiosity and customer focus.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience working effectively across engineering, design, marketing, sales and customer success teams.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within legal technology or legal software.
- Knowledge of case management, workflow, regulatory or compliance software.
- Experience working with legal, public sector or other regulated customers.
- Experience working as a Business Analyst or Product Owner alongside broader Product Management responsibilities.
