In a nutshell

BrightLocal is the local SEO platform trusted by agencies and multi-location brands to track, manage and grow their visibility. Our mission is simple: empower businesses to grow locally, turning data into action through AI-powered insights, expert guidance and hands-on support.

We're growing our Product team and hiring a Product Manager to own one of our core services end-to-end - a capability that both powers the BrightLocal platform and is exposed to customers via our API.

What you'll own

You'll own a defined area of the BrightLocal platform end-to-end, from discovery and problem definition through to delivery and iteration. You'll be the fourth Product Manager on the team, reporting to the Head of Product and working closely with Engineering, Design and Customer Success.

You will:

  • Own your product area end-to-end, from discovery and problem definition through delivery and iteration.
  • Run continuous discovery to deeply understand our customers - talking to users, analysing data, and working with Customer Success to surface the right problems to solve.
  • Write clear, well-reasoned specs and user stories in Jira that give Engineering and Design what they need to move quickly and confidently.
  • Collaborate with your PM peers to align on priorities, share learnings, and keep the product experience coherent across the platform.
  • Track the impact of what you ship, using data to validate decisions and inform what comes next.
  • Use AI tools actively in your day-to-day workflow - whether that's for research, synthesis, writing, or speeding up how you work.

Working where the API matters

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Your area is one of our core services. It both powers the platform and is exposed to customers via our API, which gives it a technically complex, API-centric character - the API isn't a side channel, it's part of the product. You'll work closely with Engineering to shape technically complex features with significant API surface area, making pragmatic decisions that balance customer needs with technical constraints: contracts, versioning, backwards compatibility, rate limits, and the fact that changes ripple to both the platform UI and API consumers.

Building with AI

You'll use AI tools actively in your own day-to-day workflow, and contribute to the development of AI-powered features within your area, shaping how intelligence surfaces to our users in practical, high-value ways.

You'll need to have

  • A solid background in product management, ideally within a SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on experience working on technically complex products, particularly those involving APIs, integrations or data-heavy features.
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment, with Jira or similar tooling as part of your daily workflow.
  • A track record of running structured discovery - customer interviews, data analysis, and translating insight into clear product decisions.
  • Experience shipping features end-to-end and measuring their impact.
  • Familiarity with AI tools as part of your working practice, whether that's large language models for research and writing, or contributing to AI-powered product features. A genuine appetite to go further is just as important as where you are today.
