Product Manager
Product Manager – Assurance Portfolio
Help shape the future of AI assurance in financial services
Aveni is redefining how financial institutions use AI. We build real, production-ready agentic systems that reshape how banks, advisers and financial services firms operate, replacing fragmented processes with intelligent, end-to-end workflows. Recognised as Fintech of the Year for two consecutive years and awarded Best Specialist Technology Service at the Professional Adviser Awards 2025, we’re backed by leading investors and supported by major financial institutions—accelerating adoption as AI transforms the industry.
Our platform empowers some of the UK’s largest financial institutions to deploy AI safely within FCA-regulated environments, powering solutions from compliance monitoring to AI-driven adviser guidance.
The Role
We’re seeking a Product Manager to take a leading role in Aveni’s Assurance portfolio: the products that help financial services firms govern, test, and assure AI agents and human interactions across the customer journey.
This role will focus primarily on Agent Approve, our pre-deployment simulation and testing product, with additional responsibility for Detect, our post-interaction compliance assessment product.
Agent Approve is a growth-stage product operating in a fast-moving regulatory landscape. You’ll own the product from discovery to commercial readiness, shaping Aveni’s position in a rapidly emerging market.
This is a high-impact, owner-driven role. You’ll work closely with the Head of Assurance Products on strategy and roadmap direction while independently driving discovery, prioritisation, delivery, and go-to-market readiness. You’ll collaborate with engineering, design, customer success, marketing, and commercial teams—translating complex customer and regulatory challenges into clear, valuable, and shippable product outcomes.
Ideal candidates thrive in ambiguity, bring structure to complex environments, and exhibit strong judicial logic—knowing what truly matters, what can wait, and what demands validation before building.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Own end-to-end product roadmaps for Agent Approve and Detect, from problem discovery and opportunity assessment through to prioritisation, delivery, and launch readiness.
- Lead continuous discovery with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders, building a data-driven view of market trends and urgent pain points.
- Translate customer insights and problems into low/high-fidelity prototypes, validating assumptions early to reduce risk and accelerate decisions.
- Work closely with engineering and design to define clear execution plans, maintain a prioritised backlog, and support squads in delivery.
- Build trusted relationships across engineering, commercial, customer success, and marketing, acting as the primary advocate for why and how Assurance products drive value.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes (e.g., FCA frameworks), and competitor activity in AI compliance, QA, and assurance tools to inform product decisions.
- Use data and metrics to guide prioritisation, set product KPIs, and measure feature success.

- Analytical rigor—comfortable using data to inform decisions and building trusted stakeholder relationships.
- Experience operating in early-stage or ambiguous environments with a self-directed, proactive approach.
