Product Manager (Healthcare) – 12-Month Contract (Inside IR35)

Role Overview

MERITUS are seeking a Product Manager to join a top public sector software organisation, specialising in healthcare-related digital products. This remote role involves leading the development, maintenance, and transformation of critical digital services—with a focus on lifecycle management and product strategy.

Contract: 12 months (Inside IR35) Rate: Up to £650 per day


About the Role

This hands-on Product Management opportunity requires an experienced leader to:

  • Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for established digital health products.
  • Balance technical constraints with business/customer priorities across a complex, evolving product portfolio.
  • Work effectively in a matrix environment, engaging with engineering, design, commercial, and operations teams.
  • Ensure continued service delivery while managing change—particularly for legacy or mature products.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for digital health products.
  • Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management, including legacy/mature product improvements.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Prioritise requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver real-world impact.
  • Engage across stakeholder tiers to capture insights, validate requirements, and align decisions with business goals.

Delivery & Improvement

  • Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and conflicts in evolving product landscapes.
  • Use data-driven analysis (metrics, KPIs) to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) while supporting customer-focused outcomes.
  • Ensure clear documentation and transparent communication of product initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

✔ 6+ years of Product Management in SaaS, software, or digital product environments. ✔ Experience in regulated, enterprise, or public-sector contexts, ideally within healthcare or digital services. ✔ Strong engineering collaboration and cross-functional leadership. ✔ Hands-on with product lifecycle management, including legacy/aging product renewals. ✔ Agile mastery (Scrum/Kanban) applied to commercial-scale delivery. ✔ Data-driven problem-solving with expertise in product analytics. ✔ Proven ability to balance competing priorities and navigate complexity.
