Product Manager

Join Kraken Utilities – Product Manager (Water Industry)

Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe!

About Kraken

Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy. We’re a technology company focused on creating a smart, sustainable energy system. From optimising renewable generation to enabling utilities to provide exceptional customer experiences, our platform is transforming the industry in a way that benefits everyone.

At a time when energy systems are evolving rapidly, Jaymin, powered by Kraken, is shaping a better, more sustainable future.

What We Built – Kraken Utilities

Our tech platform—licensed to support 55M customer accounts globally—aims to serve 100M by 2027. It’s the most AI-driven, innovative platform for energy management, optimising resources and delivering costs-effective customer experiences through:

  • Advanced Customer Information Systems (CIS)
  • Billing & logistics
  • Meter data management
  • CRM
  • AI-driven communications

Now expanding across utilities industries (Water & Broadband), we’ve created the Kraken Utilities team in the past 3 years. Starting from scratch, we re-architect and develop software solutions for challenges like customer experience & water leak detection.

The team is thriving—6 key clients onboarded (Severn Trent, Leep, Portsmouth Water, Essential Energy, TalkTalk, and Cuckoo) and now 120+ strong globally.

The Opportunity

We’re challenging the utilities industry to make essential services—power, water, internet—cheaper, greener, and better-for-people. Our Technology Team has tripled in size over the past 18 months, and we’re shifting from becoming product-led and value-driven. That means you’ll shape large-scale client migrations while working from high-level goals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who You Are

What You'll Do

  • Proactive Discovery: Drive product-led PM work—actively finding and scaling customer problems, not just managing roadmaps.

  • Structured & System Thinker: Thrive in high complexity—balancing volume, large migrations, and technical rigour.
  • Confident Prioritisation: Expressed track-record of owner-driven fighter among competing priorities.
  • "Just Do It" Mindset: Tenacious, hands-on—ensure issues won’t block long-term goals, troubleshoot, and push innovative solutions.
  • Mend Communication: Seamlessly engage across tech and non-tech stakeholders—communicate with structure and empathy.
