The team you will join
Our IT Team sits within our wider Business Services Division. The team is responsible for all aspects of IT across the business, covering User Support, Infrastructure, Security, Data and Development Teams.
This role sits within a cross-functional team focused on developing innovative solutions that improve how our colleagues deliver legal services and enable better client outcomes, aligned with our strategy ‘Empowering clients and colleagues to achieve their next level’.
The work you will be doing
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, legal practitioners, technical teams, clients and third-party vendors, helping to shape and deliver initiatives and product features grounded in clear business needs, high-quality user experience, and measurable value.The role partners closely with engineering, design, data and delivery colleagues to ensure solutions are feasible, usable, valuable and adopted.
Main Responsibilities include:
Define product vision and strategy, creating clear product narratives for leadership and linking product decisions to firm-level strategic priorities Own and shape the product roadmap Define and maintain clear product outcomes, success measures and leading indicators, ensuring roadmap decisions are linked to measurable client, colleague and business value. Lead a cross functional squad throughout the full product lifecycle, aligning product, engineering, design and data around a clear mission and measurable outcomes. Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, legal practitioners, clients, and technical teams, ensuring decisions are grounded in user evidence, business value and product strategy rather than individual requests or assumptions. Communicate progress, learnings and opportunities clearly to stakeholders, managing expectations and surfacing new product ideas. Ensure alignment between business needs, technical requirements, and evidence from discovery, analytics and feedback, and the product roadmap to prioritise the squad’s backlog Provide light project-management oversight including milestone tracking, risk identification, delivery reporting, and cross-team coordination. Lead workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with lawyers, operational and technical teams Analyse existing legal workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency, accuracy, and client value Frame opportunities as clear problem statements, hypotheses and desired outcomes before progressing to solution design or delivery Champion accessible communication of complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences Lead service design-oriented exercises such as journey mapping, value stream mapping, and UX review sessions to support continuous improvement. Evaluate and improve user journeys, workflows, and interaction patterns across software and tools Engage with internal legal teams to validate requirements, risks, and edge cases Lead assessment of vendor tools, pilots, testing, and feedback cycles Champion a product mindset by cultivating curiosity and using data driven insights Refine and maintain a well-structured backlog aligned with product strategy and product roadmap. Support iterative delivery cycles, ensuring clarity of requirements and removing ambiguity for the development team Support documentation of risks, mitigations, and model performance indicators Monitor regulatory or organisational constraints that may impact sprint scope or prioritisation Maintain clear documentation of objectives, roadmaps, metrics, and deliverables Translate validated business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and supporting documentation Support estimation processes and sprint level planning activities with the development team. Provide priority and acceptance criteria, and input into sequencing and trade offs Support Agile best practice, fostering psychological safety, transparency, and team efficiency Coordinate multi-team delivery dependencies, ensuring timelines are aligned across internal and external contributors

What we are looking for
A track record as a Product Manager in a digital, technology, client-facing or professional services environment coupled with excellent communication and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills Strong understanding of process improvement, workflow optimisation, and business process re-engineering Experience working in agile product development environments Experience working in regulated environments or with legal workflows A product focused, problem-solving mindset coupled with the ability to challenge convention Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, clear language Passion about promoting a product mindset, connecting technical work to human impact, and making product value visible through storytelling and data Confidence and facilitation skills to lead workshops and discovery activities, with the ability to support the evaluation of vendor products Experience using product analytics, user research, feedback and operational data to inform discovery, prioritisation, roadmap decisions and post-release iteration Confidence to make evidence-based prioritisation decisions in ambiguous environments, clearly explaining trade-offs and the rationale for what will not be built as well as what will be built
