Product Manager – Financial Services

Our client is seeking a hands-on Product Manager to oversee and refine a portfolio of products and services within a regulated financial services environment.

You will collaborate closely with product, operations, compliance, technical, marketing, and customer-facing teams to:

  • Monitor product performance
  • Deliver positive customer outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a range of products and services, ensuring they maintain value, growth, and good customer outcomes.
  • Review product performance using data, insights, and customer feedback, identifying growth opportunities and risk areas.
  • Lead competitor and market research to inform future product priorities and innovations.
  • Act as a product subject matter expert, supporting product owners, delivery teams, and business readiness activities.
  • Oversee product governance, including:
    • Reporting on customer outcomes, performance, target market, value, and risk
  • Work with technical, compliance, and legal teams to ensure:
    • Accurate, compliant products, literature, and customer communications align with regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, providing:
    • Third-line product support for sales, operations, and customer teams.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in product management within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Product governance
    • Regulatory compliance
    • Customer outcomes and lifecycle management
  • Data-driven mindset, able to:
    • Assess performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with fluency in engaging:
    • Product, operations, compliance, technical, marketing, and customer teams.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, including:
    • Simplifying complex topics for diverse audiences.
  • Organisational and delivery-focused, able to:
    • Manage multiple priorities
    • Meet deadlines.
  • A relevant degree or qualification in:
    • Business, finance, marketing, or product development (highly desirable).
