Your Role
In this role, you will play a key role in:
- Be trusted to own the vision and influence the team to ensure that the client receives high-impact and value from each iteration.
- Understand business needs, IT constraints, and priorities, own the backlog, and be able to make decisions. The backlog is owned by you, and you play a crucial role with your BA to ensure it is correct.
- As the agile squad is often cross-functional, your client-facing presence is essential – with the ability to communicate clearly at sprint reviews. But you will also have the skills required to step-in and support other squad members such as the BA or Service Designers.
- Lead agile ceremonies events, such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring clear communication and effective teamwork.
- Support discovery and experimentation activities, including where emerging technologies such as AI could help solve user problems, improve service outcomes, or create measurable value.
- Work with data, architecture, engineering, and AI specialists to help translate AI-enabled ideas into clear backlog items, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Help test and validate AI-enabled features through prototypes, pilots, or experiments, using user feedback and evidence to inform future product decisions.
Role
As part of your role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development: Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
- Internal contribution: Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & development: Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications, etc.

Your Profile
- Experience contributing to a user-centered product or service development project.
- Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards, using GDS design principles.
- Experience working in secure environments, with an understanding of the constraints and delivery considerations that come with security clearance requirements. Good knowledge and understanding of agile delivery.
- A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional business and teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Ability to make decisions based on business priority and ensure requirements are known, defined, and able to be built and delivered.
- Willingness to support the wider team and step into adjacent activities where needed within a cross-skilled squad model.
- Awareness of generative AI and large language models, and curiosity about how they can be applied to real user and business problems.
- Willingness to learn how AI-enabled products are designed, tested, delivered, and improved in live environments.
