Position Summary
The Product Manager for API will lead the strategy and delivery of one of ENSEK’s critical platform capabilities—the API-as-a-product framework—while supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) functionalities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining a consistent, scalable approach for building, governing, and consuming APIs (both internally and externally).
- Collaborating closely with engineering, commercial, and domain teams to ensure these investments drive measurable value.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
- Develop and enhance the strategy and vision for API-as-a-product and IAM, engaging stakeholders across engineering, commercial, and customer teams.
- Continuously validate and refine decisions during the lifecycle.

IAM & Access Management Roadmap
- Define and drive the roadmap for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and role-based access control (RBAC).

API Framework Standardisation
- Ensure a consistent framework across three API tiers:
- Internal domain APIs.
- Cross-NSEK internal APIs.
- External APIs for customers, brokers, and third parties.

Data-Driven Prioritisation & Decision-Making
- Use AI-powered estimation tools to assess roadmap items, balance effort vs. value, and communicate trade-offs transparently.
- Translate prioritisation decisions into clear, actionable narratives for stakeholders.

Performance & Outcome Tracking
- Implement dashboards for real-time API performance monitoring and leverage data to drive ongoing improvements.
- Define and track key product outcomes to ensure alignment with business goals.

Stakeholder Leadership & Influence
- Build and maintain long-term stakeholder relationships.
- Lead effective communications strategies to achieve alignment and outcomes.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
- End-to-end ownership of a platform or infrastructure product, ideally including:
- API management.
- Developer tooling.
- IAM/RBAC.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts (e.g., RBAC, OAuth, SSO, audit logging) to support product decisions alongside engineering and security teams.
- Ability to make autonomous, data-informed decisions and translate them for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in complex stakeholder management, particularly with senior commercial partners.
- Skill in creating and executing a product roadmap tied to strategy and measurable outcomes.
Advantageous Experience:
- Prior exposure to energy, utility tech, SaaS, or platform-based product environments.
- Familiarity with:
- API management tooling.
- Experimentation platforms.
- AI productivity tools.
