The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly driven product manager to join a market leading and fast growing manufacturer and distributor of high quality wiring, lighting, cable management and electrical installation accessories supplied through the UK electrical wholesale and retail/DIY channels.

Working for a fast paced company, this opportunity would suit an individual that is looking to take on a key role in defining and implementing the product strategy for Circuit Protection and Renewables categories supplied under the long established Deta, Timeguard and Deta.e brands.

Job Responsibilities

Product Management responsibility for Circuit Protection and Renewables, working cross functionally alongside the company’s product development, marketing, commercial and sales teams to ensure continuous profitable growth. Core responsibilities include:

  • Product strategy, product roadmaps and product lifecycle management (cradle to grave)
  • Maintaining up-to date knowledge of industry, product, regulatory and legislative changes
  • Identifying opportunities to expand the product portfolio with complementary products / ranges
  • Management and coordination of all product marketing collateral and communications
  • Project management and coordination of new product launches and promotional activities
  • Management of product pricing by reference to market forces and competitor activity
  • Proactively supporting the sales teams in maximising opportunities for the product portfolio
  • Providing necessary product, market and competitor information and training to all stakeholders

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience

  • 5+ years experience in a relevant Product Management role and with a proven track record
  • Ability to work effectively in high pressure and deadline driven situations
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a thorough and accurate approach to work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in both a team environment and on own
  • Customer focussed with the ability to build strong rapport
  • Resourceful and lateral thinking with a proactive approach to tasks
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisation skills
  • Computer literate with strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Drive, ambition and enthusiasm to deliver results and progress within the organisation
