Product Manager - Consultations

About Phorest

Would you like to create the future of a product used by thousands of businesses and millions of consumers? Phorest Salon Software powers over 11,000 hair and beauty salons in Ireland, UK, Germany, Australia, Finland, USA, Canada, UAE and Netherlands and the platform processes 7 million appointments a month for hair and beauty consumers. Phorest is the number 1 salon software brand for premium independent salons in those markets and our next goal is to become a platform upon which other companies can build applications for premium salons.

Our system touches every point of the salon experience. We have the in-salon software desktop application, Phorest Go (the native staff application), online bookings website for salons, and custom native apps per salon. In a typical month, Phorest processes 3 million appointments and we send over 3 million SMS and 4 million emails. We process 200k online bookings per month and over 150 custom built white label native apps.

The Opportunity

As the Product Manager for Consultations, you own a strategically significant domain for Phorest and for our customers. As a central element of our offering for the MedSpa space, this team takes responsibility for clinical records and documentation with some examples including Consultation Forms, Contraindications, Markups and Online Consultations. You are accountable for ensuring the Consultations stream delivers measurable impact for both Phorest and our customers — driving acquisition, engagement, retention and growth across all regions.

A Product Manager at Phorest is the bridge between customer needs, business goals and the teams that deliver. You own outcomes within your product area, driving clarity, communication and accountability across discovery, delivery and post-launch follow-through. You are responsible for ensuring that what we build truly matters — that every feature contributes measurable value to both our customers and the business.

You’re seen as a reliable, organised and collaborative partner who keeps momentum high and communication clear. You build strong partnerships across regions, acting as responsive product advocates who stay deeply connected to hair & beauty and medspa client needs and foster trust through clear communication and follow-through. You are hands-on in discovery, close to customers and diligent in execution. You make it your business to talk to customers because you recognise that part of Phorest’s success comes from a deeply rooted connection to our customers. You build trust through consistency and ownership and you are always thinking about the commercial element of each opportunity.

You turn validated customer problems into measurable outcomes by leading discovery and delivery with curiosity, clarity, and momentum. Product Managers apply the Phorest Product Management Charter principles — Customer-Led, Organised, and Outcome-Oriented — to define priorities, align stakeholders and ship improvements that drive meaningful client and business impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Do

Ownership & Accountability

  • Take ownership of your product area end-to-end — from defining the problem through delivery and measurement of impact.
  • Follow through on every commitment. You don’t just ship — you ensure the intended value is realised and communicated.
  • Own your area's scope and prioritization: Make clear trade-offs, manage scope creep, and focus delivery on the highest-value outcomes within time and resource constraints.
  • Communicate progress, risks and outcomes proactively so stakeholders always have clarity.
  • Understand and manage dependencies with other teams, ensuring alignment and timely delivery.
  • Track and report on performance metrics for your area, using data to inform decisions and measure success.

Customer-Centric Discovery

  • Speak to customers weekly, across multiple regions, to understand their workflows, pain points, and priorities.
  • Translate insights into clear problem statements and validated opportunities that guide your squad’s roadmap.
  • Partner with design and engineering to explore solutions, validating them with customers before committing to build.
  • Always tie work to measurable outcomes — how it improves customer experience or contributes to business goals.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as the central communicator within your squad — ensuring clarity on goals, priorities, and trade-offs.
  • Collaborate closely with design and engineering as a peer, contributing to product, technical and design discussions.
  • Build trusted relationships with regional teams, initiating calls and validating priorities in-market.
  • Communicate updates through clear documentation — including pitches, status updates and ongoing proactive communication.
  • Ensure cross-functional teams (e.g. product operations, product marketing, support, onboarding) have the context they need for launches and enablement.

Execution & Product Craft

  • Write clear user stories that reflect validated problems, not assumptions.
  • Maintain a tidy backlog and ensure priorities are always visible and aligned to business goals.
  • Ensure roadmap items have clear success measures and baselines defined before work begins.
  • Follow through after release — measure adoption, review customer feedback and identify next steps.
  • Use data and evidence to guide decisions and communicate results.
