Product Manager – Credit Cards
Location: Chester, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week) Working Pattern: Hybrid (at least two days/week or 40% at office; flexible working, workplace adjustments supported via Flexibility Works policy)
About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious Product Manager to join our Credit Cards Product Development team, with a focus on driving the growth and innovation of our Instalments proposition. This is a critical role where you’ll design, develop and optimize features that empower customers to better manage their spending and repayments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking full end-to-end accountability for customer outcomes, commercial performance, and delivery of customer-centric instalment features
- Developing, launching, and optimizing instalment products aligned with policy, risk appetite, and Consumer Duty regulations
- Collaborating with team members (Platform, Engineering, Everyday Banking, and fellow Credit Card Product teams) to execute scalable, compliant solutions
- Balancing customer value, commercial outcomes, and risk while maintaining market competitiveness
Responsibilities
- Drive discrete initiatives within the Instalments product roadmap
- Translate product strategy into actionable roadmaps, priorities, and execution plans
- Work cross-functionally to conceive and deliver high-impact propositions that align with business goals
- Utilize data analytics, customer insights, and market trends to inform decision-making and prioritisation
- Perform stakeholder management and ensure alignment across departments

Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience as a Product Manager, owning products or propositions from concept to launch to optimisation
- Demonstrated expertise within financial services, payments, lending, or other regulated environments
- Proven ability to turn product strategy into clear, actionable plans and roadmaps
- Strong analytical skills, leveraging KPIs, customer behaviour, and market trends to drive decisions
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication—with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executives
Desirable Skills & Exposure
- Hands-on experience with credit cards, instalments, BNPL, or payments—including proposition design or lifecycle management
- Knowledge of product experimentation (test-and-learn approaches), and agile iterative delivery
- Familiarity navigating regulated product, conduct, and risk governance frameworks
- Transferable experience spanning regulated industries (e.g., Fintech, banking, or lending) can sometimes substitute formal requirements
