Product Manager - Credit Cards
LOCATION: Chester, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff
HOURS: Full-time (35 hours per week)
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid (two days per week at an office-site; 40% time allocation). Supports agile and flexible working with workplace adjustments per Flexibility Works policy.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Product Manager to join our Credit Cards Product Development team, focusing on driving growth and innovation for our Instalments proposition. In this leadership role, you’ll design and deliver user-centric credit card products and features while holding end-to-end accountability for:
- Customer outcomes and satisfaction
- Commercial performance
- Product compliance
Your core responsibility? Instalments development: from feature building, launch, to optimisation—ensuring customers can manage spending and repayments effectively.
Key tasks include:
- Defining and owning specific instalments initiatives aligned to the product roadmap
- Collaborating with Platform/Engineering, Everyday Banking, and other Credit Card teams to realise ideas into scalable, compliant solutions
- Balancing customer value with commercial outcomes and risk mitigation
- Ensuring products comply with policy and regulatory frameworks, including Consumer Duty expectations, while maintaining market competitiveness.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Delivery
- Translate high-level product goals into cohesive roadmaps and prioritisation frameworks
- Define clear objectives, key results (OKRs), and success metrics for instalments features
- Work cross-functionally with tech, finance, and compliance teams to drive execution

Customer & Market Focus
- Analyse customer behaviour data, market trends, and regulatory changes to inform decisions
- Actively shape design, positioning, and user experience of instalments offerings
Risk & Compliance
- Monitor adherence to risk appetite and consumer protection policies
- Collaborate on regulatory submissions and testing to ensure proposition robustness
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in a product management role, with experience delivering end-to-end product lifecycles (concept, launch, optimisation)
- Hands-on experience in financial services (e.g., payments, lending, or credit cards) or regulated environments
- Proven ability to:
- Define product strategy and translate it into clear roadmaps and execution plans
- Apply data-driven decision-making (performance analytics, customer insights, market trends)
- Engage and influence stakeholders across disciplines (tech, fault, operations, etc.)
- Demonstrated capability to prioritise initiatives based on interdependent business, UX, and regulatory goals
Desirable Experience
- Specific expertise in credit cards, instalments, BNPL, or lending propositions, including:
- Customers journey optimisation
- Lifecycle management of monetary products
- Experience with product experimentation or agile test-and-learn methodologies
- Familiarity with regulated product/conduct/risk frameworks (e.g., banking governance, FCAs)
