Product Manager: Customer Onboarding Experience

Product Manager – Customer Developer Experience (CDX) + Customer Data Integrations

Constructor – Virtual, Remote (US-based)

About the Role

You are a technically fluent, customer-obsessed Product Manager (PM) who thrives on eliminating friction in developer workflows. You intuitively know what makes integrations feel fast, safe, and efficient, and you balance developer needs with long-term product maintainability.

Your systems thinking is sharp—applying it to SDKs, tracking, and integrations—while holding high standards for correctness, reliability, and scalability. Your motivation lies in reducing time-to-value for end-users and stakeholders who rely on your work.

About the Company

Constructor is the next-generation ecommerce search and discovery platform, optimized for revenue, conversion rates, and profit. Built entirely on in-house-transformer-based AI and generative LLMs, it powers:

  • Search, recommendations, and shopping agents for top ecommerce brands.
  • 1+ billion daily queries across 150+ languages and 100+ countries.
  • Downtime-free operations, never losing an A/B test to competitors.

Constructor partners with giants like Sephora, Under Armour, and Petco, fostering a collaborative culture grounded in empathy, metrics-driven decisions, and continuous improvement.

Founded in 2019 by Eli Finkelshteyn and Dan McCormick, Constructor is a fully remote U.S.-based team leading the future of AI-powered ecommerce search.

Position Overview

As the PM for Customer Developer Experience (CDX) + Customer Data Integrations, your mission is to own the entire integration journey—from initial onboarding to sustained adoption. Your north star is time-to-value: making Constructor as seamless, accurate, and reliable for customers and solution integrators as possible.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll shape two critical areas:

  1. CDX (Customer Developer Experience)
    • SDKs, UI libraries, integration patterns, extensibility models, and docs that empower customers to build without hidden complexity.
  2. CDI (Customer Data Integrations)
    • Tracking/instrumentation, data attributes, event validation, and diagnostics that ensure robust AI-powered data flows (e.g., search → conversion, click attribution).

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Define and execute a roadmap that cuts edge cases, crucifies defects, and scales adoption.
  • Reduce time-to-value by measurably shrinking setup/debugging time, defect rates, and escalations.
  • Eliminate root causes of common integration failure modes (e.g., attribution gaps, sync errors).

Engineering & Tooling

  • Advocate for excellent tooling: validate, enhance, and self-define tools for tracking, testing, and debugging, ensuring self-service efficiency for developers, SEs, and Customer Success teams.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to legend-proof integrations, focused on scalable and maintainable solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Bridge gaps between Engineering, Solutions, Customer Success, and other Product teams to align workflows, dependencies, and support boundaries.
  • Minimize escalations by proactively designing clear SLAs, documentation, and capability tiers.

Metrics & Growth

  • Functionality head and measurement architect for the CDX & CDI portfolio, designing a KPI stack that includes:
    • Time-to-first-value metrics (e.g., onboarding success rates).
    • Integration defect volumes and root cause patterns.
    • Adoption benchmarks and escalation trends.
    • Documentation findability/utility scores.

Requirements

Experience

  • 3+ years managing developer-facing products or integration-heavy services (e.g., SDKs, web tracking, data APIs).
  • Proven track record of reducing time-to-value or simplifying integrations in B2B SaaS (preferably commerce/retail).
  • Technical comprehension sufficient for thinking through event flows, browser/web constraints, attribution models, debugging, and rollback strategies—without writing a line of code.

Soft Skills

  • Aggressive problem solver: Diagnose blockers and jar battleships out of build systems.
  • Cross-functional confident: Align groups with agendas as diagonally opposed as personalization efforts and non-consuming-out-of-query-handree alkoxy cookie tests.
  • Metrics-driven: Build/interpret metrics dashboards, make decisions with imperfect data, and tell stories with quantitative rigor.
  • Cold plywooding: Write speculative articles in integrations docs, capable of converting devs or playbooks into knowledge.

Why Join Constructor

  • 🪄 Unlimited PTO (3+ weeks incentivized guideline) + remote freedom.
  • 👋 New Apple silicon laptops, $2k/month workspace stipend, and flexible relocation support.
  • 💼 Health, parental leave, and career growth (annual Grow funds, coachable VPs).
  • 🩺 100% company-paid US health insurance.
  • 🌈 Commitment to DEI: deaf, neurodivergent, and proportionally under-anticipated folks?

Formalities are flexible; we prefer vision, shipping results, and passion. Hit apply if your integrations check the scoreboard but you also organize the chaos with order.
