About the Team

Expedia Group B2B is the B2B arm of the company, leveraging our technology and distribution capabilities to empower partners across the travel ecosystem. We deliver seamless travel experiences through differentiated supply, connectivity, and platform solutions globally.


The Role: Product Manager III, Rapid API Team

As a Product Manager III on the Rapid API team, you will shape product strategy for supplier capabilities that strengthen our demand-side business, focusing on:

  • Supplier-facing product experiences (onboarding, property setup, content, inventory, pricing, integrations)
  • API strategy and integration workflows that improve supply quality, coverage, and efficiency

This role sits at the intersection of hoteliers, suppliers, connectivity partners, and Expedia Group’s platform teams, translating supply-side opportunities into demand-side growth through:

  • Strategic API design
  • Seamless integrations
  • Forward-thinking product innovation

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Own and evolve the roadmap for supplier-facing capabilities including:
    • Onboarding, property setup, content flows, inventory, rates, availability
    • Trade-off analysis to unlock demand-side growth
  • Work closely with engineering teams across the full product lifecycle (discovery, design, launch, adoption, lifecycle management)
  • Develop a deep understanding of supplier needs (hoteliers, aggregators, connectivity providers) to:
    • Design low-friction onboarding processes
    • Improve integration success rates

End-to-End Supplier Value Chain

  • Collaborate across account setup, contracting, connectivity configuration, property creation, content management, product setup, validation, and go-live readiness
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (commercial, onboarding, partner success, integrations) to:
    • Translate supplier requirements into clear product priorities
    • Develop sequenced delivery plans

Data-Driven Prioritization

  • Define and track success metrics, including:
    • Supplier adoption
    • Onboarding/integration time
    • API quality & reliability
    • Activation rates
    • Supplier satisfaction
  • Use data insights to drive prioritization and continuous improvement

Developer Experience (DX) & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to enhance supplier developer experience (DX) through:
    • Better API design and modernization (RESTful, GraphQL)
    • Improved tooling and documentation
    • Self-service capabilities
    • Platform consistency & AI-driven automation to:
      • Optimize workflows
      • Create actionable insights
      • Improve operational efficiency

Stakeholder Alignment

  • Clearly communicate vision, trade-offs, and progress across:
    • Cross-functional teams (engineering, business, commercial, onboarding)
    • Strategic supplier engagements
    • Hyperbaric alignment for scaling supplier investments

Requirements

Minimum Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., tech, business)
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a preference for:
    • B2B platforms, travel technology, marketplaces, supply chains
    • Partner-facing products (onboarding, integrations)
  • Proficiency in:
    • API product lifecycle (design, management, scaling)
    • RESTful/GraphQL APIs and integration technologies
    • Collaborative roadmap development with engineering stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with experience:
    • Defining and tracking KPIs (onboarding time, API performance, adoption)
    • Translating data into actionable outcomes
  • Exceptional communication & collaboration skills:
    • Working in distributed teams across technical/off-payroll functions

  • Lodging/travel supply expertise, including:
    • Supplier onboarding flows
    • Hotel technology & channel management
  • Supplier-value chain experience (domains such as):
    • Property setup, content/content syndication
    • Room/rate management, availability, go-live validation
  • Hands-on knowledge of:
    • GraphQL & API externalization patterns
    • AI-driven tools (trade.Search/automation)
    • Emerging platform integrations (auto-updates, polite/batch syncs)
  • Experience participating in:
    • API/Governance reviews
    • Supplier QBRs/partner workshops
  • Familiarity with tooling stack:
    • JWT / OpenID connectivity standards
    • ChatOps/RPA in partner onboarding
