Product Manager | Payments

Berkshire or London (Hybrid, 2-3 days in office) | Salary up to £75,000

Have you owned a payments product end to end, from discovery and roadmap through to delivery and results? Do you have proven experience in product management within payments? Are you comfortable shaping roadmaps alongside engineering, compliance and partner teams?

If yes, this could be a good fit.

We are working with an established payments business partway through rebuilding its core technology. You would take a defined product area and own it outright, co-leading the squad with the technical lead.

The business has the scale and backing of a much larger group, with the pace and autonomy of a challenger. Decisions sit with the squad and work reaches production quickly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You Will Do

  • Decide what gets built and in what order across your product area, then stand behind those calls
  • Work with the technical lead as joint owner of the squad
  • Spend real time with customers and partners, testing whether a problem is worth solving before anyone writes code
  • Set the measures of success up front and hold the roadmap to them
  • Navigate compliance, legal, design and partner constraints early, so they shape the plan instead of derailing it
  • Bring AI into the everyday work of the product function and show others how to use it well

What We Are Looking For

  • A product manager with proven experience in payments
  • Someone who has owned a genuinely complex domain, not a single feature set
  • Fluency with data: you define your own metrics, run your own experiments and read the results honestly
  • Enough technical depth to debate APIs, data flows and architecture with engineers and be taken seriously
  • Experience delivering inside regulation, where compliance sits in the room from the start
  • A working habit of using AI across research, analysis and prototyping, and a considered view on where it belongs in a product organisation
