About the Role

As we continue to expand our platform and enhance our offerings, we are seeking a visionary Product Manager to lead the development of Checkatrade’s new advertising products. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation, shape the future of advertising within our ecosystem, and unlock new growth opportunities for our company.

Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:

  • Designing new advertising products as well as upgrading the ones already in place. You’ll take what works today, make it stronger, and develop entirely new ways for trades to reach customers.
  • Using real insight to shape what we build next. Turning user behaviour, market trends, and performance data into bold product decisions that actually move metrics.
  • Working closely with engineers, designers, data scientists, and commercial teams. Getting into the details, shipping quickly, and solving problems together - not lobbing tickets over the fence.
  • Experimenting like it’s a sport. A/B tests, pricing trials, performance tuning, live-data tweaks - whatever it takes to figure out what “great” should look like.
  • Driving the launch of an entirely new growth stream for Checkatrade. Your ideas won’t sit in a backlog. They’ll help shape the next generation of how advertisers connect with customers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring:

  • Experience in product management is a must-have. Consulting, ad tech, or digital marketing is a bonus. You understand how digital experiences work, and you’re comfortable shaping something new.
  • A strategic, product-thinking mindset. You can zoom out to see the opportunity, then translate it into clear priorities, trade-offs, and next steps.
  • Strong analytical instincts and confidence with experiments. Whether it’s digging into data, interpreting results, or using insights to drive decisions, you’re comfortable proving (or disproving) ideas.
  • A collaborative, engineering-friendly approach. You enjoy working closely with designers, data teams, engineers, and commercial partners to get things built.
  • Problem-solving clarity. You can simplify complexity, cut through noise, and turn messy problems into actionable product decisions.
  • Clear communication and storytelling. You can articulate the “why”, bring people with you, and make complex ideas digestible for any audience.
  • Bias for action and ownership. You’re comfortable moving fast, making smart calls in ambiguous situations, and taking ideas from concept to launch.
