Job Description

As our product range continues to evolve, we're looking for an experienced Product Manager to play a key role in shaping, governing and developing our authorised fund range and Managed Portfolio Service (MPS).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, high performing investment business where you'll play a key role in ensuring our products continue to deliver value to investors, remain competitive within the market and meet the highest standards of governance.
What you'll be doing
As Product Manager, you'll support the ongoing development and governance of our investment products throughout their lifecycle, working closely with colleagues across Investment Management, Compliance, Risk, Distribution and Operations.
Your responsibilities will include
- Leading the approval process for new funds, share classes and Managed Portfolio Service launches.
- Designing and reviewing investment products, including investment objectives, policies and risk profiles.
- Owning the Fair Value Assessment process in line with Consumer Duty.
- Monitoring customer outcomes and maintaining Consumer Duty management information and key performance indicators.
- Supporting the distribution of investment products, including the production and maintenance of product documentation.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Investment Management, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations and Distribution.
- Preparing reports and presenting updates to governance committees.
- Monitoring competitor activity and market developments to identify opportunities to strengthen the AJ Bell Investments proposition.
- Supporting strategic projects that enhance and develop our investment product offering.

About You
You'll have significant experience working within investment product management or product development and be passionate about delivering well governed, customer focused investment solutions.
You'll bring
- A Level 4 investment qualification such as the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), CISI Diploma or equivalent.
- More than five years' experience in investment product management or product development within financial services.
- A strong understanding of the FCA regulatory environment and practical experience applying Consumer Duty, including Fair Value Assessments and customer outcomes monitoring.
- Knowledge of Managed Portfolio Services (MPS) and the UK investment market.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.
- Experience operating within a first line risk environment, identifying and managing risks within your area of responsibility.
- Excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing governance papers, reports or regulatory documentation.
It would also be advantageous if you have
- Experience working with UK investment platforms.
- Exposure to passive investing, responsible investing or retirement-focused investment solutions.

Our ways of working
We offer hybrid working, with a minimum of 50% of your working time per month spent in the office. This role can be based in London or Manchester.
For new starters, there is an initial period of full-time office working to help you settle in and build relationships.
