Product Manager - Networking

Role: Product Manager – Networking
Location: Birmingham (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Package: £75,000 - £85,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year
Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

Role Purpose
To drive the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for SCC’s Enterprise and Networking Business Unit, focusing on products and services that deliver value to customers and strengthen SCC’s market position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement go-to-market plans for networking and enterprise solutions. Collaborate with sales, marketing, other SCC Business Units and technical teams to align strategies with business objectives. Analyse market trends and customer need to identify growth opportunities. Manage product positioning, pricing, and promotional activities. Build strong relationships with vendors and partners to enhance SCC’s offerings. Monitor performance metrics and report on campaign effectiveness. Ensure compliance with SCC’s standards and industry regulations. Undertake activity to bring new services to market within the business, ensuring that they are ready for customer consumption. Direct and influence the operational strategy for Enterprise & Networking, ensuring alignment with SCC’s broader objectives and customer expectations. Ensure robust governance, documentation standards (HLD/LLD), and compliance with internal and external requirements. Work closely with Pre-Sales, Delivery, and Transformation teams to drive innovation, improve tooling (e.g. Catalyst Centre, LogicMonitor etc…), and enhance service architecture.

Qualifications
Skills and experience:
Desirably degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). Professional certifications in networking or enterprise technologies (desirable).
Experience
Proven experience in developing go-to-market strategies within IT or networking sectors. Background in sales enablement and product lifecycle management. Experience working with enterprise customers and vendor ecosystems. Deep understanding of managed services, project governance, and service tooling.
Skills
Strategic planning and execution. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to drive change, continuous improvement, and strategic alignment.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of networking technologies, professional and managed services Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure, professional and managed services Strong grounding and understanding of the AI marketplace, use cases and opportunity
Personal Attributes
Results-driven and commercially focused. Innovative thinker with a proactive approach. High level of integrity and professionalism.
