Product Manager – Civica Pensions

Why You’ll Love This Opportunity as a Product Manager at Civica
As a Product Manager in our team, you will be responsible for defining the strategic vision for your product, aligning it with Civica’s overall vision and goals. Notably, for the Pensions product set.
You will lead product initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally with Product Design, User Research, Engineering, and Commercial Teams, ensuring alignment with Civica’s mission: to become a global Government Technology (GovTech) champion.
Your Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Product Direction:

Contribute to the strategy and direction of travel for the Civica Pensions product set.

Socialise pensions product direction with stakeholders and customers.

Product Development and Enhancements:

Prioritise pensions-related softwares and regulatory changes in line with market and business priorities.

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and business goals to define and refine the product roadmap.

Work closely with technologies (engineering, design, marketing, commercial, customer success) for successful product development and launch.

Customer Insights and Prioritisation:

Conduct customer interviews, surveys, and market research to gather feedback and insights.

Take a hands-on approach to defining and prioritising product requirements that guide engineering efforts.

Lifecycle, Analytical and Decision-Support Roles:
-
Oversee the entire product development lifecycle (concept to launch).
-
Execute successful product launches collaborating closely with the Product Marketing team, including positioning and messaging.

Analyse data and metrics to inform product performance, identify areas for improvement, making data-driven product decisions.

Governance and Knowledge-sharing:
- Champion a strong culture of knowledge sharing and documentation for product decisions and designs.
Requirements
Must Have:
- Strong experience managing Product Development of Pensions software solutions.
- Extensive experience working with local government or public sector pensions software solutions and regulations.
Should Have:
- Experience in modern software or product-led organisations.
- Ability to operate in Agile development methodologies across engineering teams.
- Proficiency in navigating the complexities of product lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data for product decisions.
- Ability to prioritise features and requirements based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- Experience developing and executing a product roadmap and strategy linked to customer and company goals.
- Collaboration skills to lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success.
- Strong ability to craft compelling stories communicating product vision, value, and benefits to diverse stakeholders.
