Product Manager – Portfolio & Projects
Location: Wellingborough, UK Division: Axalta – Automotive Refinish Segment: Global Product & Platform team
We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Product Manager – Portfolio & Projects to join Axalta, a leader in the coatings industry, and contribute to our growing Automotive Refinish portfolio.

Our vibrant portfolio supports diverse applications, from infrastructure modernization to electric and autonomous vehicles.
As a Product Manager – Portfolio & Projects, you will lead a global portfolio of projects, aligning product strategies with customer needs and business growth. Collaborating closely with Technology, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain, you will:
- Manage both existing products and new solutions across international markets.
- Shape product strategies that drive innovation and market success.
- Ensure compliance, performance optimization, and collaborative execution.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Execution
- Work with Technology, Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, and key customers to develop and launch new products using the StageGate process.
- Partner with Regulatory and Compliance teams and the in-house studio to deliver compliant, high-impact product artwork.
- Contribute to business cases, value propositions, and pricing strategies.
- Gather market insights and customer feedback to foster continuous improvement and innovation.

Management of Existing Product Portfolio
- Own and enhance an existing portfolio, monitoring performance and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with Regulatory teams to ensure local compliance.
- Support product lifecycle management, including rationalization and internal deletion together with Supply Chain and Commercial teams.
Project Management
- Lead cross-functional projects (e.g., complexity reduction, packaging development) throughout initiative lifecycles, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Conduct data analysis and market research for informed decision-making.
- Provide regular stakeholder reports via Salesforce and project meetings.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- 2–3 years’ experience in Product Management or Project Management (B2B or B2C).
- A relevant degree, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and IT skills.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and drive complex projects.
