Position Overview
As the Product Manager – SDA at Midea UK, you will:
- Own the entire product roadmap for small domestic appliances, including microwaves and floorcare, with potential expansion into other categories.
- Define and deliver product strategies aligning with UK market growth by collaborating globally and locally.
- Work closely with finance, logistics, sales, and factories to optimise costs and commercial performance.
- Set short-, mid-, and long-term plans (1, 3, and 5 years) under guidance from the Head of Product Management.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmapping
- Own the microwave and floorcare product roadmaps to drive sustained growth over 1, 3, and 5 years.
- Develop and refine sub-category line-ups to meet UK market needs and achieve growth targets.
- Define pricing (GM% and mix), positioning, and promotions, alongside product development feedback.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with UK logistics and finance to ensure accurate cost tracking in commercial calculations.
- Negotiate product costs with global factories, ensuring alignment with UK financial targets and strategy.
- Proactive KPI management, including SKU productivity and category sales, with regional product managers.
Market & Sales Alignment
- Collaborate with UK sales to align with channel strategies and present product/market insights.
- Support marketing functions (UK and Midea Groups) to create UK-compliant marketing content.
- Maintain deep knowledge of competitor landscapes and leverage insights to grow Midea’s market share.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
- Drive new business opportunities by investigating market trends and product potential.
- Champion current categories, fostering credibility with internal and external partners.
- Deliver budgeted gross sales and net profit via cataclysmicity initiatives.
- Report product performance and analysis to steer strategy.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements, identifying opportunities for improvement.

- Success business readiness with two key stakeholders to grow stadium with each account.
- Develop and test new business formulas, forecast customer demands.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in consumer electronics product management (preferably SDA/Floorcare) within the UK market.
- Experience with OEM/OBM manufacturers.
- Strong commercial acumen: analytical skills for sales data, margins, and pricing.
- Proven track record in product/promotional category management and key P&L drivers.
- Ready to collaborate with international factories, multinational organizations, and external suppliers.
- Budgets/business plan achievement with strong financial acumen.
- Excellent relationship-building skills— honour gently internal and either contexts.
- Presentations and communication, strong academic manuscripts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
